About Embodied

"Embodied" means a multitude of things to each of our readers. We are not representative of a singular point of view but rather a visible epitomization of the creativity and diversity of pursuits at Gallatin. Embodied covers style, music, politics, art and society with verve and always in tune with the New York youth. We aim to provide a space of confluence to the distinctiveness of our academic and cultural interests as students and as people apart of the New York community.

Founded in 2013, Embodied aimed at addressing issues of identity, self-esteem, and diversity while promoting an inclusive definition of beauty. As Embodied has evolved as a publication, transitioning from print into a digital platform, our mission has grown to encompass these issues as they relate to current social-political happenings both at home and abroad.

Embodied aims to capture the zeitgeist by engaging in dynamic, spearheading conversation with the next generation of innovators and thinkers about the cultural events and issues that matter to them most. Fearless in our approach, Embodied is for the curious, the inspired, and the changemakers.
