Last Friday evening, the atmosphere at The Jerry H. Labowitz Theatre for the Performing Arts transformed into pure fantasy. Dreams and Dreamscapes: The 2019 Gallatin Fashion Show teleported the audience into a beguiling display of mystical gowns feathered with tulle, light-hearted ensembles punctuated by frills and fur. Statements were literally made with dresses and hoodies filled with script and pointe shoes even took a spin on the runway. The show brought together a diverse crew of designers and a beautiful cast of models to create a show not only borne out of dreams but one that compels its viewer to dream, to tap into the dazzling depths of their own creative subconscious. This year, EMBODIED sat front row to capture the stunning creations of this year’s talented selection of student designers.
