Embodied means a multitude of things to each of our readers. We are not representative of a singular vantage point but a visible epitomization of the creativity and diversity of pursuits at Gallatin. From a distinctively progressive vantage point, Embodied covers style, music, politics, art and society. We aim to provide a space of confluence to the individuality of our academic and cultural interests as students and humans part of the New York community.
Founded in 2013, Embodied aimed at addressing issues of identity, self-esteem, and diversity while promoting an inclusive definition of beauty. As Embodied has progressed as a publication, transitioning from print into a digital platform, our mission has grown to encompass these issues as they relate to current social-political happenings.
Embodied aims to capture the zeitgeist of the next generation of innovators and engage in a dynamic conversation with artists, and intellectuals about the events and issues that matter to them most.
